Movistar Riders beat Slovakia on Inferno (16-8), lost Mirage (10-16), and then took the decider, Train (16-6), to qualify for the WESG 2018 World Finals. Inferno started off with Movistar Riders stopping an A push from Slovakia to win the pistol round. The Spanish side then won the anti-eco before Slovakia won the third round with the weapon advantage. The first gun round then went the way of Movistar Riders once again, as Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas took down four players. The Spaniards then took control of the match, getting a 6-1 lead, before the Slovakian team was able to get another round after a clean A take through Short and Apartments. Despite giving up an early lead to Riders, Slovakia came back with fast-paced attacks breaking through the Spanish side’s defenses to bring it back to within one at the half. The second pistol round also went to Movistar Riders, and the Spanish team got on a roll, exploiting the Slovak defenses round after round for a 13-7 lead. Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács & co. then managed to stop a B push with pistols, getting on the board for the first time in the second round, although from there on out it was the Riders show as the Spaniards closed the first map out 16-8. Mirage started out with Slovakia taking the first pistol round and the anti-eco as well as the first gun round after winning a post-plant situation on A. Movistar Riders were able to win the pistol buy with a play on the A site after that, although they were unable to follow it up when they had guns the next round, going down 1-4. An ace by mixwell got Movistar Riders back in the game, giving the team momentum to tie it up, 4-4. The teams then traded rounds back-and-forth until Slovakia took the last three rounds to make it a 9-6 half. The second pistol round also went to GuardiaN and his teammates as they were able to plant on A, and despite all dying, didn’t leave enough time for Alejandro "alex" Masanet to defuse the bomb. The Slovakian side then took control of the half with quick aim-based tactics that worked to shred the Movistar Riders defense. Once again, no team could take hold of the half, but Slovakia slowly made their way to match point before closing the map out 16-10. The decider, Train, kicked off with an explosive play by Movistar Riders on A, which gave them the round after a successful after-plant defense. With 4-0 on the board, mixwell was able to get another ace after opening up the B site and killing the players trying to save weapons. Riders then put it into overdrive, taking round after round giving up but a single round out of the first ten. The Spanish team then won an after-plant on B in the second pistol round, further increasing their 13-2 lead at the half, but were then unable to win against the forcebuy the next round after losing three players early on. Slovakia then started to get on a roll to try and make the comeback, making it to six rounds, but doubles by mixwell and Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran got their team on match point. The Spanish side was then able to close it out, 16-6, to qualify for the WESG 2018 World Finals in China. The teams qualified so far are:Movistar Riders
